As one of our Pilot Support Engineers, you'll be an integral part of our technical support team for our products on Part 23, 25, and 27 aircraft. Core responsibilities of our Pilot Support Engineers include:

Demonstrating Expertise: Showcase your recognized expertise in the specifications, capabilities, and operation of avionics, with a focus on Avidyne products, ensuring pilots and installers have the knowledge they need to maximize their flying experience.

Providing Technical Guidance: Answer customer and installer technical inquiries regarding Avidyne products, documenting and tracking support cases to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Serve on a rotation for 24/7 aviation technical support coverage, ensuring pilots have access to assistance whenever they need it.

Communicating Effectively: Serve as a liaison between customers and associates of other departments within Avidyne, facilitating communication and collaboration to address customer needs and enhance product performance.

Documenting with Precision: Monitor, document, and report customer training gaps or product failure trends, providing valuable insights to drive continuous improvement and product development.

Forging Collaborative Relationships: Represent Avidyne at industry meetings, conferences, and trade shows, showcasing our innovative products and providing valuable support to the aviation community.

Nurturing Others: Create and host online webinars and training content across multiple platforms, supporting both internal and external avionics training initiatives.

Optimizing Materials: Review owner’s manuals, installation manuals, and maintenance manuals for completeness, technical accuracy, and areas prone to misinterpretation, ensuring pilots have access to reliable and informative resources. Create knowledge-based articles and instructions for repeat issues, empowering pilots and installers with the information they need to troubleshoot common problems.

Avidyne is committed to your personal and professional growth. With access to our exclusive flight club and pilot training benefits, you'll have the unique opportunity to not just support avionics but to experience them from the pilot's seat. Imagine integrating your passion for aviation with tangible skills that elevate your career and personal aspirations.

To be successful in this role, you'll need a bachelor's degree in aerospace, systems, or another related engineering field, applied knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics sub-systems, 2+ years of experience with customer support, and a pilot's license (or significant hours towards license). A master's degree in lieu of experience will be considered.
